With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Marjorie "Margie" Quinlan. She left us on June 26, 2025, just twelve days after celebrating her 96th birthday.

Margie lived a rich and vibrant life, always drawn to the beauty of coastal waters. While she cherished time spent on any shoreline, Cape Cod held the most special place in her heart, where countless memories were made with family and friends. A talented artist, she captured the beauty she loved most through her paintings, often sharing these heartfelt creations as gifts with those she cared about. Her magic touch extended to gardening; she created a beautiful garden for her community, bringing joy and natural beauty to all who saw it.

Those who knew Margie will remember her infectious laugh and her gift for making others smile. Her career in hospitality spanned many years, beginning as a waitress and later in life at a wedding venue, managing the coat check. Her outgoing personality, sarcastic humor, and quick wit made her a favorite among customers and colleagues. She was a devoted Red Sox fan who never wavered in her loyalty to the team, and her evening ritual of watching Wheel of Fortune at 7 PM was sacred – a tradition that brought her comfort and entertainment for decades.

Margie aka "Nana Margie" is survived by her loving daughters, Carolyn Caruso and Nancy Quinlan, seven cherished grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren who were the lights of her life. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Summering. Her legacy lives on through the laughter she shared, the memories she created, her paintings, and the love she gave so generously to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sharing a favorite memory of Margie or simply taking a moment to watch the sunset over the water – something that always brought her peace and joy.
