Mark Morris

Mark A. Morris "Uncle Buck" age 54, passed away suddenly Saturday April 16th, at his home in Woburn MA, after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer.

He was escorted into heaven by his two pre-deceased guardian Angels Cora E Morris and Robert A Morris Jr.

Mark was employed by BROX Industries before he retired, where his quick wit and sarcasm endeared him to everyone he came in contact with in the scale house. Maybe it was the fact that was not afraid to be himself and tell someone where to go.

Or dress up as his favorite superhero for Halloween or an elf for Christmas. Maybe it was the day that he told Mr. Brox that he couldn't ride his bike in his own quarry, or he would call the cops. Whatever it was, Mark will be missed. Especially by the lifelong friends he made the over the years.

Mark was a history buff, who enjoyed reading. His favorite books were about military history, after he would read a book, he would build a battlefield and explain the battle in detail to his nephews. Mark would take the whole gang to see the re-enactment of the battle of Lexington on Patriots Day. Mark also loved his music and loved to go to concerts. Some of his favorite groups were the Dropkick Murphy's, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Cranberries. So, when you hear
the songs on the radio, please feel free to do a good deed in Mark's name.

Mark loved hockey also, he liked his Bruins, but he loved the Detroit Redwings. I remember going to a Bruins game against Detroit, of course Mark had had his Steve Yzerman jersey on, Detroit wins the game, so not thinking we walk into Sullivan's Tap across the street, with Mark in his Redwings jersey. O boy I don't know how we got out of there alive. Well, I do, but I'm not telling.

Mark loved hockey so much, he decided to become a coach. Mark coached at Hockey Town USA for 25 years. He coached his brother's, he coached his friend's and we won a lot of championships.

Mark built a dynasty, that had player's asking to play for him. Before you know it, we were all brother's playing for Mark , winning championships BBQing in the lot till the wee hours, many a night. During all this we became a "band of brothers," who would do anything for each other. That was what Mark was all about. Everywhere he went he made lifelong friends who will never forget him.

Mark was a warrior that never complained and always put his Family first, he was always there whenever He was needed, and his selflessness and generosity will be dearly missed. Mark is survived by his sister Ellen, brother Chris and his wife Erinet, brother Pete, brother Mike and his wife Sue, sister Erin and her husband Ray, brother Shaun.

Mark was a second Father to all of his nieces and nephews, earning himself the nickname of "Uncle Buck" and will never be forgotten by Alexis, Tim, Elizabeth, Margaret, Caitlyn, Johnny, Matt, Tyler, Adriana, Angie, Keegan, Aria, Matthew and Chris.

Please join us for a celebration of Mark's life at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main Street, Stoneham, MA on Wednesday, April 27th from 4-7pm, and a service to be held at the Funeral Home Thursday, April 28th at 11:30am.
