Matthew Allison

Matthew F. Allison, 37, of Lynnfield, died on Saturday, December 11 after a courageous 16-year battle with AML.

Matthew was born in Melrose on April 3, 1984 and was the loving son of Steven & Kathleen (Brennan) Allison.

Matthew was a graduate Lynnfield High School, Class of 2002 and the University of Massachusetts, Class of 2006. He was an Eagle Scout Troop 48 in Lynnfield and loved to travel. His favorite trips were to Disney World and Ireland. Matthew also enjoyed playing the guitar in his free time.

In addition to his parents, Matthew was the cherished brother of Jamie Allison and wife Yuko, Steven Allison and fiancé Lori Smith, Timothy Allison and wife Marissa and Kaitlyn Consoletti and husband Gregg, devoted uncle of Ren Allison, Charlotte & Benjamin Consoletti and Willow & Finley Allison and the love of his life Carolyn Gross. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was very special & inspired all who knew him.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robin Joyce & the nurses on Feldberg 7 BIDMC, especially Hannah & Kathleen for all their love and support.

Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday from 4-7pm. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11am. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
