Maureen Griffin

Maureen V. Griffin, (Kiddy) 68, of Melrose, formerly of Stoneham died on Monday, September 15 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Medford on September 9, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Paul and Brydie (Doherty) Griffin.

Mrs. Griffin was a graduate of Watertown High School, Class of 1958 and attended Boston State College.

She had been a Melrose resident for the past 10 years and had also lived in Stoneham for 30 years. Mrs. Griffin was a member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham. She was an avid Red Sox Fan for decades and was also a country music fan.

Mrs. Griffin was the former wife of Stanley J. Kiddy of Stoneham. She was the mother of Kelly Morton and her husband James of E. Providence, RI, Lauren Kiddy of Stoneham and Michael Kiddy and his wife Angela of Malden and the sister of Rosemary Lisack of VA. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Pebbles.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Friday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
