Michael P. McLaughlin

Stoneham: Michael P. McLaughlin, age 63 and a well-known local resident died suddenly August 1 in Stoneham. He was born October 8,1962 and was the beloved son of William G. McLaughlin, Chief Stoneham FD (Ret) of Stoneham and the late Marie E. (Frongillo) McLaughlin. Michael was raised in Stoneham and was a Stoneham High School graduate, Class of 1981. He was a member of the football, baseball and track teams while in high school. He was retired from the office of Secretary of State, Commonwealth of Massachusetts where he had worked for 32 years. He had recently been employed by the Sagamore Springs Golf Club of Lynnfield where for many years he was an avid player.

Michael was the loving father of Chris T. Mount and partner Jackie Clifford, Bryan M. McLaughlin and partner Jessica Norcross and Sean P. McLaughlin and wife Alyssa. He was the brother of William J. McLaughlin and proud grandfather of Suvi L. McLaughlin, William A. and Macy Marie McLaughlin. He is also survived by his former daughter-in-law Corie McLaughlin.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham on Friday, August 7 at 10:00. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan-Anderson Funeral Home, 322 Main Street, Stoneham on Thursday, August 6 from 3-7pm. Interment will be at Lindenwood Cemetery.
