Michelina Roberts

Michelina A . Roberts , age 84, a lifelong Wakefield resident, died Sunday, August 29, 2021.

Born in Castelfranci, Italy on January 18, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria (Perillo) Santoro.

Michelina was raised in Italy and in 1953 crossed the Atlantic and settled in Wakefield. She married and raised her family in Wakefield. She was deeply religious and was a devoted and active parishioner of St. Florence Church. She loved to cook and to bake for church functions and was very social among the towns network of Italian ladies. Michelina also loved to cook for her family gatherings.

She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Roberts . She was the loving mother of Lisa Rindone and her husband Chuck of Wakefield, Michael Roberts of Lowell, and the late John F. Roberts , Jr. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer and Andrew Robertson. She was the devoted sister of Rose Surrette of Billerica and Philip Santoro and his wife Helen of Westford. She is also survived by two nieces: Carla and Andrea Santoro and one nephew: Philip Santoro.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 11:30am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield prior to the mass from 9-11am. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
