Muriel Z Peters

Muriel Z. Peters, age 93 of Wakefield died Saturday October 9,2026 in Saugus.

 She was born in Boston on March 24,1933 and was the daughter of the late Charles C and Winnifred (Morgan) Richardson. 

She was raised in Saugus and was a graduate of Saugus High School. She later lived in Boston before making her home in Wakefield. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wakefield and was retired from the Verizon Corporation where she worked for many years as an office manager.

She was the loving mother of Michael G. Peters and wife Elizabeth of Reading, Kenneth A. Peters, Jr of Malden and Karl L. Peters, Sr. also of Malden and Karen M. Clooney of Burlington. She was the sister of the late Charles, Arthur, Alfred, Stanley and Clarence Richardson , Edna Alves and Oneida Lamos. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Her Funeral Service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Avenue Wakefield on Friday October 16 at 11:00. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service beginning at 9am.
