Nelson Dulong

Nelson J. Dulong, 76 a lifelong resident of Wakefield died Wednesday September 10, at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital. Born in Wakefield, July 17, 1932 he was the son of the late Frank J. and Mary A. (Muise) Dulong.

Nelson was a graduate of Wakefield High School . After graduating from High School he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Wakefield Elks and the Wakefield V.F.W.

Nelson is survived by his wife of 55 years Marjorie (Sandberg) Dulong, his son Joseph Dulong and his wife Rosanne of Bourne, his daughter; Cheryl Donovan and her husband Peter of Wakefield, his sister Helen Murray of Wakefield. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren; Lisa, Lynn and Kimberly Donovan, Jennifer, John, Kaitlyn, and Mary Dulong and his great granddaughter Lindsay Brady. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers; John and Athur Dulong and 2 sisters; Catherine Roberson and Ruth Henderson.

The funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at 9 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 PM.

Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
