Patricia Higley, 82, a longtime resident of Stoneham died at the Reading Rehabilitation Center on Sunday August 23.
Born in Revere January 7, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Ellen Sullivan. Patricia was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School class of 1961.
Patricia was the beloved wife of the late Wayne Higley. She was the loving mother of Michelle Mendez of Lawrence and Elizabeth Higley of CA. She was the sister of Margaret Ferrante and her husband Anthony of Revere and the late George Sullivan and his wife Diana of Topsfield. She is also survived by her granddaughter Lianna Mendez.
Patricia grew up in Revere and later made her home in Stoneham, where she built a life filled with family, friendship, laughter, and love. She cherished the time she spent with her friends at Finnegan Hall, especially sitting together and doing puzzles, enjoying the simple moments and good company that meant so much to her.
She may not have been able to cook to save her life, but there was one thing she made that nobody could resist: her famous deviled eggs. They were so good that everyone would fight over them, and they became one of those little things that will forever bring a smile to the people who knew and loved her.
Her love of reading was another special part of who she was, a passion she passed down to her children and granddaughter. But perhaps no love in her life compared to the love she had for her one and only granddaughter. Their bond was truly unmatched, and the love she gave her will remain one of the most treasured parts of her life.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan-Anderson Funeral Home, 322 Main Street Stoneham on Tuesday September 1 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be private.
