With great sadness and much love, we mourn the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Patricia A. Seymour of Saugus, formerly of Wakefield, on June 12, 2026. Pat was born on March 17, 1941, in Boston, the daughter of the late Ruth (Chase) Davidson and John Davidson. She was raised in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School, Class of 1959.
Her greatest joy was her family. She married her high school sweetheart, John P. Seymour, in 1961 and loved him deeply for 57 years with unwavering devotion, missing him dearly after his passing in 2018. Together they raised a family and filled their home with love and laughter. She anchored her family with the strength of her love, relished hosting family gatherings, and was a constant presence at family events and milestones. When not attending those, she enjoyed tending her gardens, crocheting gifts, being at the beach, or going out with Klub.
Her life was defined by extraordinary love, unmatched selflessness, a calm presence, and a generous spirit. She comforted, encouraged, and supported everyone around her, leaving behind a legacy of love that will be forever treasured.
She is survived by her sons, John R. and his wife Lynn of Dartmouth, Robert J. and his wife Sharyn of Dracut, and Stephen P. and his wife Wendy of Billerica. Her grandchildren John, Rory, Stephanie, Ashlyn, and Emma, and her great-grandson Oliver, will forever cherish their memories of Nana. Nana will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and her lasting impact on all who knew her.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Wednesday, June 17th, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 18th at 9:00 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield, on Thursday, June 18th, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pat’s name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. https://www.stjude.org
