Patricia Ann Stine (nee Marshall), 72, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, passed away surrounded by family on February 6, 2026. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and cherished daughter, aunt, and friend, Patty will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Born in Stoneham to Rosemary (McColgan) and George Marshall, Patty was the fourth of 13 siblings. She graduated from Stoneham High in 1971. After graduation, Patty worked at New England Life Insurance Company in Boston.
Patty met the love of her life, Ken Stine, in August of 1971, started dating in 1981, and they were married in Saint Patrick Parish in Stoneham on September 7, 1985. They welcomed their daughter, Jacqueline Christine, on October 28, 1989. Patty loved being a mother and was frequently found cheering Jackie on at competitions, parades, and games and was often seen as another mom to many of the other colorguard girls.
A lifelong fan and participant of Drum Corps, Patty marched first with St. Pats Drill Team in Stoneham, and then with the Boston Crusaders from 1971-1975/6 before going on to teach the colorguard from 1977-1979, a legacy she passed on to her daughter, BAC 08-11. Patty was inducted into the Boston Crusaders Hall of Fame in 2006 in recognition of her dedication.
She was also an avid supporter of the Golden Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, attending many weekend celebrations in both Plymouth, MA and Wildwood, NJ with the corps and supporting Ken.
She loved hosting family and friends for cookouts every summer, opening her house and pool more times than anyone can recall. She also embraced the chaos of hosting her siblings and their families for Christmas every year, creating memorable get togethers for everyone. Family always came first and she spent innumerable hours helping her siblings with whatever they needed.
Despite her challenges with Alzheimer’s Disease, she never lost her love for her family, boat rides on Ossipee Lake, or holding babies.
Patty is survived by her husband Ken, her daughter and son-in-Law, Jackie and Luke West, grandchildren Owen and Quinn, siblings Ruth Daly, Tommy Marshall (Sandra), Danny Marshall, Rosie Murphy, Larry Marshall, Billy Marshall (Theresa), Judy Hickey, Kevin Marshall (Shelly), Su Marshall (Joseph), and Elaine Lawrence (John), and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosemary and George Marshall, and sisters Kathy Rizzuto and Rita Marshall.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at McDonald-Finnegan-Anderson Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham, MA on Friday, February 13, 2026 beginning at 11 AM with a Funeral Service beginning at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to The Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps.
