Patricia A. "Pat" Zingariello

Patricia Ann “Pat” Zingariello, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 10, 2026.

She was born in Boston on April 15, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Barbara (Iannachino) Martone.

She embraced her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She shared a beautiful love story and marriage of more than 50 years with her husband Gerry, with whom she was just beginning to welcome a new chapter of life filled with travel and shared adventures. She was a devoted and inspiring mother to her three daughters, instilling strength, resilience and unconditional love. She cherished time spent with her 4 grandchildren, etching lifelong memories as their beloved “Nonna.”

Pat worked her way up in the healthcare field, first as a dental assistant, then EMT, and ultimately as a registered nurse, dedicating decades of her professional life to caring for others. She was most proud of her work as a Public Health nurse for the towns of Wakefield, Belmont, and Beverly where she was committed to improving the lives of people in her community.

Beyond her career, she was deeply connected to her community. She was an active member of the Wakefield Senior Center, where she found joy in crocheting. She was also an avid reader and supporter of the Friends of the Wakefield Library and the Wakefield Food Pantry.

To so many, she was a dear friend—someone who valued connection with those she loved. Her warmth, kindness, and generosity will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the community she served, and the countless lives she touched. We take comfort in knowing she was surrounded by love until her last breath.

She is survived by her husband Gerald Zingariello of Wakefield, her children Nina Dartnell of Wakefield, Carla Zingariello and her husband Joon Choi of New York, and Santa Camire and her husband Mike of North Andover, as well as her niece Brianna Loranger of Waltham. She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren: James, Giuliana, Olivia, and Matteo.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday May 14th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home on Friday May 15th at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
