Paula A. Russo McKeever, age 79, of Melrose, formerly of Lynnfield, passed away on May 16th.
She was born in Boston on July 2, 1946 and was the daughter of the late James A. and Alice (O’Brien) Russo.
She was raised in Quincy and was a graduate of Arch Bishop Williams High School. She received her undergraduate degree from UMass Amherst and later her Master’s Degree in taxation from Bently College. Paula enjoyed a long career at Hemmingway and Barnes managing the Trust department in Boston but ultimately retired from Nixon Peabody LLP.
After marrying, Paula and her husband settled in Saugus for a brief time before making their home in Lynnfield, where they began their family and raised their two boys. She loved spending time with her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Mimi.” Paula was an avid reader and was a member of many book clubs and also was a member of the garden club. She enjoyed summers on Cape Cod and winters in Conway, NH skiing.
She was the beloved wife of Philip McKeever, with whom she shared nearly 50 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Sean McKeever and his wife Kerri of Winchester and the late Adam McKeever. She was the adored grandmother of Liam, Colin, and Dillon. She was predeceased by her siblings, Alice Messias, Carol Lewis, and Jim Russo.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Annunciation, 46 Myrtle Street, Melrose on Thursday, May 21 at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday, May 20 from 4-7pm. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
