Peter Anthony Altieri was born in Melrose, November 8, 1971, and passed away Monday, October 5, 2026 at Tufts Medical Center after a battle with leukemia.

Peter was the son of the late Valerie (Dillon) Scott of East Kingston, NH, and the late Jerome C. Altieri of Wakefield. Peter is survived by his daughter Skye C. Fauvel of Pelham, NH, brother Michael J. Altieri of Beverly, brother William K. Scott and wife Leane D. Scott of North Reading, aunt Kaye J. Altieri and wife Donna M. Tecce of Wakefield, aunt Patricia (Dillon) Fino of Stoneham, and nephews and niece Benjamin M. Altieri of Georgetown, Liam D. Altieri of Beverly, Joshua K. Scott of North Andover, Taela M. Scott of North Reading, and Derek J. Scott of North Reading. He is also survived by longtime companion Rayna M. DePietro, close family friends Mark O’Leary and Sarah O’Leary, and many cousins, family, and friends.

Peter was known for his humor, kind heart, and down-to-earth personality. Peter was passionate about music and was a vocalist in the band Mill City Steal. As a loving father, he was especially proud of his daughter Skye as she followed in his footsteps and became a performer in the girl band Xs and Os. He took great pride in her accomplishments which included music on Radio Disney, and touring as an open act for major recording artists.

In his spare time, Peter enjoyed creating art, fishing, camping, boating, and singing karaoke. He was adventurous and enjoyed exploring new places, particularly museums and historical sites. Most of all, Peter enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Peter spent the last four years with his companion Rayna, whose love and companionship was his world. They cherished their time together, especially the many days spent at the beach.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, MA on Wednesday, October 14th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Peter’s remains will be scattered on a later date.
