Peter A. Meuse, age 73 of Wakefield, passed away on Friday May 1 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
He was born in Melrose on March 15, 1953 and was the son of the late Peter and Catherine Meuse. =
Peter was a lifelong Wakefield resident and was a member of Wakefield High School class of 1971. He was a longtime member of the West Side Social Club and the Knights of Columbus in Lexington. Before he retired, he had worked at A.W. Chesterton company in Groveland as well as Tark Engineering in Billerica and Honeywell in Lexington. Peter loved golfing, country music, going to his kids sporting events, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Peter was the beloved husband of Nancy (Haradon) Meuse. He was the loving father of Joseph Meuse of Maine, Emily Meuse of California, Robert Meuse and his wife Meredith of Pennsylvania, Timothy Meuse and his wife Gianna of Wakefield and the late Douglas Meuse. He was the brother of Douglas Meuse of NH, Thomas Meuse, of Tewksbury, Catherine Brennan of Stoneham, Mary Ellen Sinclair of North Carolina, and the late Kenneth Meuse, and Russell Meuse. Peter was the cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn, Mackenzie, Ainsley, Ella, and TJ. He leaves behind his Aunts Helen Amirault of Wakefield, Esther Muse of Hamilton (formerly Wakefield), and Myrtle DeVeau of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Robert Haradon and his wife Elsie of Vermont, and the late Edward Haradon and Kenneth Haradon, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins from Nova Scotia and the Wakefield area.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday May 7 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Wakefield, 8 Lafayette St., Wakefield on Friday May 8 at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
