Phyllis Kranefuss

Phyllis A . Kranefuss , age 77 of Stoneham died Tuesday November 4 at her home following a long period of failing health. Born in Winchester on June 29, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Phillip & Mildred (Flaherty) Gange. Mrs. Kranefuss was raised in Winchester and was a graduate of Winchester High School and later attended Leslie College. She was retired from the Winchester Hospital where she worked as a secretary for many years and later as a Physician Referral Co-ordinator. She had also been employed with the Marshalls Department Store Headquarters in Woburn, was a volunteer at the Boston Regional Medical Center. She had been a Stoneham resident since 1978 and attended St. Patrick Church.

Mrs. Kranefuss is survived by her beloved husband Fredric L. Kranefuss . She was the loving mother of Tony F. Kranefuss and his wife Jennifer of Stoneham and Kristin J. Fox & husband Dana of Dracut. She was the sister of Elizabeth Coss of Wincester and the loving grandmother of Sarah & Joseph Kranefuss and William, Matthew, Katie and Allison Fox.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald –Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Saturday at 8AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 9:00. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
