Pietro D'Alfonso

Pietro D’Alfonso, age 93 of Wakefield, passed away on Monday April 20 at the Residences at Pearl Street in Reading.

He was born in Italy on December 27, 1932 and was the son of the late Rosario and Barbara (Moretti) D’Alfonso.

Pietro grew up in Italy and came over to the United States when he was 30 years old. He was a longtime Wakefield resident and was a very artistic stone mason. He also loved tending to his amazing garden.

He was the beloved husband of the late Francesca D’Alfonso. He was the loving father of Ronald D’Alfonso and his late wife Wanda of Wakefield. He was the cherished grandfather of Chantal Disarro and her husband Michael of Lynnfield. He was the great grandfather of Banks and Romy. Pietro is also survived by many family members back in Italy.

His Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday May 4 at 7:00 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held prior to the service from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
