Regina Del Monaco, 94 of Wakefield, MA died Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Bear Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Wakefield, MA.
Born in Italy, February 1, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Michele and Angela Di Pietro.
Regina was the beloved wife of the late Altiero Del Monaco. She was the loving mother of Giovanni Del Monaco and wife Doreen of Yarmouth Port, Loretta Cardone and her late husband Antonio of Wakefield and Angela Cassano and her husband Charlie of Lynnfield. She was the sister of Romeo Di Pietro and his wife Julia of Medford and several deceased siblings. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Regina moved to the United States at the age of 40 from, Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, with her husband and children in 1971.
She worked very hard for many years in the garment district of Boston, with goals of providing for her family. Together with her husband she was able to buy a three-family home in Quincy. Her pride and joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren. She loved traveling, especially, to Italy, Argentina and wherever the family visited.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Wednesday December 17, at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday prior to the mass from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Entombment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
