Richard Maurice Muise

Richard Maurice Muise, age 94, formerly of Wakefield, MA, passed away at his home in Waycross, GA on April 5, 2023.   He was the son of the late Maurice and Sophie (Doucette) Muise of Wakefield.    

Richard is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mollie Sybil (Thrift) Muise and his children, Judith Ann (Muise) Miller and husband, Rick of Kittery Point, Maine and Jeffrey Maurice Muise of Waycross, GA.

Richard was proud of his service to his country by serving in World War II.  He was a graduate of Boston University where he earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees.  After retiring from his professional career as a director of information systems, he served as a substitute teacher in Texas and Massachusetts school systems for over 25 years.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11:00am.
