Richard Fitzgerald

Richard R . Fitzgerald , 77, a life long Stoneham resident died Wednesday August 20 after a brief illness. Born in Boston on March 27, 1931 he was the son of the late Maurice & Pauline (D'Arcy) Fitzgerald . Mr. Fitzgerald was a graduate of Stoneham High School and later attended Bridgewater State College. He was a retired printer for both the Boston Herald and Boston Globe newspapers. Mr. Fitzgerald enjoyed travel and made many trips to Ireland.

He is survived by his loving wife Mary E. (Sheehan) Fitzgerald . He was the brother of Emily Gollin of CA, Daniel Fitzgerald of Germany, Martha Fitzgerald of VT and the late Maurice, Edward and Paul Fitzgerald and Mildred Ames. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held in the McDonald – Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham Monday Aug. 25 at 10:00. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday 1-3 PM. Interment will take place at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham. Those wishing may make a memorial contribution to the charity of ones' choice.
