Robert Bain, Jr.

Wakefield- Robert H. Bain Jr., age 76, a longtime Wakefield resident, died Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Bob was raised in Medford. He was a graduate of Medford High School class of 1964 where he met the love of his life, June. They married in 1966 and moved to Wakefield to raise their family. In the 1970's, Bob owned Robin's Superette on North Avenue. He was also employed by Moving C. Bain for many years. Bob was a family man, one who worked tirelessly to make sure his family was well cared for and loved. He was an avid sports fan who was the ultimate Red Sox fan. He treasured watching his grandchildren play sports. Bob enjoyed watching them play the game they loved. He could be seen cheering them on from the sideline whether it was at soccer, field hockey, hockey, baseball, softball, or track. Bob was a generous man. One who always welcomed everyone into his home. He was the epitome of kindness. He always said if you do not have anything nice to say about someone, do not say anything at all. He lived by these words, and he touched the lives of so many.

He was the son of the late Robert and Clara Bain. Bob was born on March 29, 1946. He was the loving and caring husband of June Bain. The devoted father of Robin Thulin and her husband Walter, Michael Bain and partner Zoa and Wendy Leone and her husband Frank. He was the cherished grandfather of Stephen Thulin and wife Emily, Jessica Thulin and fiancé Tim Tannian, Amanda Bain, Michael Bain, Maggie Leone and Frankie Leone. He was the loving and devoted brother of Sandra Hayes and the adoring uncle of Bill, Rick, Scott, Susan, Patrick, Amy, Jonathan, Kate, Chris, and Mailee. He enjoyed gathering with friends and playing cards with his life-long friends: Buster, Pete, Ken, Bill, Frank, Joe, Tom, and Ronnie.
