Roberta Dawson

Roberta A . Dawson , 82, of North Andover and a former long time resident of Wakefield died on Sunday February 24 at her residence.

Born in Boston on September 24, 1930 she was the daughter of Earl and Alice (Brice) Simmons.

Mrs. Dawson was raised in Dorchester and Medford. She had worked for Transitron Electronics and later S&M liquors of Wakefield.

Mrs. Dawson was the wife of the late Francis P. Dawson . She is survived by her three sons Robert F. and wife Faye of OR, Peter J. and wife Barbara of UT, Francis P. Jr. and wife Julie of Woburn, and her daughter Sheryl A . Kaplan Stirk of North Andover and her eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Dawson is also survived by her brother James Simmons of Lynnfield and sisters Patricia Saintangelo of Wakefield and Valerie McCarthy of NH. She is predeceased by her brother Paul.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 A .M. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Monday from 4-8PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade in Wakefield.
