Rosemarie Albino

Rosemarie Albino, age 84, of Hernando, Florida, formerly of Stoneham MA, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025 at the Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on November 20, 1941 and was the daughter of the late Armand and Eleanor (DeSalvo) Lucontoni.

Rosemarie was born in the West End of Boston and lived there until her family moved to Malden in 1956. She would always say- “Do you see the sign that said if you lived here, you would be home now? That’s where I lived!” Roe graduated from Malden High in 1958 and began working as an assistant in the Leonard Sterling Silver Company. It is in Malden that she met her husband Paul and they were married in May of 1965 and began their family in 1966. They remained in Malden until 1974 upon moving to Stoneham where they continued to raise their family.

Roe was a stay-at-home mom, who also co-owned Trend Cleaning Company with Paul and maintained the bookkeeping/billing part of the company. In 1982 they bought the Deli Roma Delicatessen, which she operated until 1985. In 1986 Roe began working at the IRS as an administrative assistant, where she remained until her retirement in 2003. In 2006 they moved full time to their beloved Florida home in Hernando. They enjoyed their life there with their friends until Paul’s death in 2015.

Roe, now widowed, picked up the pieces and started to enjoy a new way of life. She became part of the Living Solo group, where she organized their outings for a number of years. She enjoyed her lunch bunch, her dinner group, The Friday Joker game nights, Mahjong on Wednesdays (she even tried shuffleboard), the golf cart parades, her church group, puzzling, reading, and her friends and neighbors.

Roe had a warm generous heart and a deep sense of faith. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, her fun-loving spirit, her love for her family, and her garlic pretzels!

She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Albino. She was the loving mother of Christine Saro and her husband Steven, of Westford, and Paula Barry and her husband Dan, of Weymouth. She was the sister of Lisa Lucontoni and her husband Fred DiFronzo of Exeter, NH. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Kelsie Saro of Charleston, SC, Harrison Saro and his wife Kate, of Hampton, NH., Benjamin Saro of Westford, Lila, Ella, John, Madi, and Cece Barry, all of Weymouth, Her sister in laws, Maria Ferreira, of Arlington, MA, and Karen Albino, of North Andover, MA. She is also survived by Aunts Rosie Ventresca, Fern DeSalvo, and Donna DeSalvo, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She will be forever missed by all that knew and loved her.
