Ruth Magrath

Ruth A. Magrath, 86, of Atria Longmeadow Place in Burlington, formerly of Stoneham & Reading, died on Tuesday, June 17 at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Born in Medford on March 12, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Percy & Ethel (DeLong) Andrews. Mrs. Magrath was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, Class of 1940 and was her class secretary. She later lived for many years in Reading. She was retired from the Badger Company located in Cambridge and had previously worked with Richard Simmons Real Estate office of Lynnfield.

Mrs. Magrath was the mother of Lorraine K. Magrath of Winchester & Paul E. Magrath of Melvin Village, NH. She was the sister of the late Russell & Herbert Andrews and D. Jean Peacor. She is also survived by her grandson Michael Magrath, her granddaughter Lori Magrath, a teacher at the Hood School of No. Reading. & her great grandaughter Erin Magrath.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 1:00. PM. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thursday 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in W. Peabody.
