Stanley E. Listernick

Stanley E. Listernick, D.M.D., 98, of Peabody, formerly of Lynnfield and Everett, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2026.

Born and raised in Everett, Massachusetts, Stanley was the son of Dr. Sidney and Beulah Listernick and the younger brother of Mildred Reutter. He was a proud graduate of Tufts University, where he earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and Doctorate of Dental Medicine degrees.

Stanley served his country as a Captain in the United States Army Dental Corps before building a respected 44-year dental practice in Malden. Throughout his career, he was active in his dental fraternity and numerous professional associations, earning the trust and admiration of generations of patients.

He was the devoted husband of the late Roselyn (Ratcliff) Listernick, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Stan was the loving father of the late Glenn Listernick and survived by his daughters Debbie Listernick and Julie Estrada, and her husband Ruben Estrada. He was the proud grandfather of Nicole (Estrada) Robbins and her husband Brett Robbins; Brandon Estrada; Caroline Listernick; and Christina Listernick; and the cherished great-grandfather of Sofia Roselyn Robbins.

Stan will be remembered as someone who gave generously of his time and talents. He was a longtime member of Malden Kiwanis, the Masons, where he achieved the 32nd degree, and the Aleppo Shriners. He lived in Lynnfield for 45 years and was an active member and deacon of Lynnfield Congregational Church. Music was another lifelong passion. Stanley played the trumpet and French horn and sang with several choral groups, bringing energy and joy to those around him.

Stan and Roselyn loved traveling to visit family and explore destinations throughout Europe. Some of his happiest memories were made at the family home in the White Mountains, a home he helped build and where the family gathered for hiking, canoeing, skiing, laughter, and stories.

Stanley loved to laugh, tell jokes, and share stories from a life well-lived. His humor, kindness, dedication, and unmistakable presence will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
