Stephen Sardella

Stephen J . Sardella , 89, of Stoneham and formerly of Wakefield, died on Sunday, July 11 at the Hanover Terrace Nursing Home in Hanover, NH.

Born in Wakefield on March 28, 1921 he was the son of the late John and Mary (Zagarella) Sardella .

Mr. Sardella was a graduate of Wakefield High School and had also attended Bentley College in Boston. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army. He had retired from the Wakefield Municipal Light Department in Wakefield.

Mr. Sardella was the husband of Mary (Corindia) Sardella . He was the brother of John Sardella and his wife Shirley of Wakefield and Joseph Sardella and his wife Eva of FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 12 p.m. A period of visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
