Suzanne DiPlacido, age 80 of Middleton, formerly of Lynnfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 10 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
She was born in Peabody on February 3, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Francis and Rose (Santos) Cook.
Suzanne was a loving wife and mother who helped run a construction company alongside her husband. She had a passion for travel, a deep love of food, and was an amazing cook herself. She had a remarkable gift for bringing people together, creating warmth and joy wherever she went, no matter their differences. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the friends she united, and the love she shared so freely.
She was the loving wife of Cesidio “Jesse” DiPlacido. She was the beloved mother of the late AnnMarie DiPlacido-Mack and the late Richard DiPlacido. She was the grandmother of Richard Mack and his fiancé Brianna of North Andover. Suzanne was also the sister of Priscilla Raposo and her husband Manny of North Andover, Clara Spatafore and her husband Joe of Peabody, Gary Cook and his wife Ruth of Peabody and the late Richard “Dicky” Cook.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Sunday June 14 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut Street, Lynnfield on Monday June 15 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment, Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden.
