Theresa L. Caligandes

Theresa L. Caligandes, age 100 of Wakefield, passed away on Sunday August 16.

She was born in Somerville on July 8, 1926 and was the beloved daughter of the late George and Mary (Zefferino) Calligandes.

Theresa was the loving sister to the late Alyce Suss, Helene Purtell, Mary, Eloise, Peter, George & John Calligandes. Devoted aunt to 15 nieces and nephews and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Theresa graduated from Suffolk University and was a dedicated employee of the United States Coast Guard for many years. She was a devoted parishioner and past member of the church choir at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main Street in Wakefield on Thursday August 20 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday August 20 prior to the Mass from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield
