Theresa E. Yulling, 87, of Lynnfield, died on Sunday, August 7 at the Life Care Center of the Northshore in Lynn.
Born in New York, New York on January 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Csoma) Yulling.
Ms. Yulling was a Registered Nurse, and started her career in New York City where she grew up. She moved to Lynnfield in 1969 and worked at Lahey Clinic Medical Center, Salem Hospital, Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and others before her retirement. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield and her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Theresa enjoyed skiing, playing tennis, sailing her Sunfish and all things Hungarian, especially walking her Hungarian Vizsla dogs.
She is survived by her brother Francis Yulling and his wife Carolyn Young of Cambridge; two cousins, Jordan Hegedus of Lynnfield and Eva Benyola of New Jersey; her remaining family in Hungary and her adopted Hungarian families including the Nagys in Florida, Pennsylvania and Alabama, Robert Herold of Islip, Long Island and the Harolds of Pennsylvania.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, August 23 from 4-7pm, and people will be encouraged to share their favorite memories of Theresa in celebration of her life. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield on Wednesday, August 24 at 10am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Theresa's name may be made to the Our Lady of the Assumption Church, c/o Ave Maria Parish, 17 Grove St., Lynnfield, MA 01940 or the charity of your choice.
