Thomas H. McDonald, III

Thomas H. "Tommy" McDonald III passed away on November 15th at Winchester Hospital surrounded by his loving family. After a lengthy battle with heart disease.

Proceeded in death by both parents Mary R. McDonald (Shea) and Thomas H. McDonald.

Tommy was born on December 18, 1948, in Everett, MA. A lifelong resident of Wakefield, MA. He graduated from Wakefield Memorial High School in 1967. He was very artistic and creative.

Tommy worked at General Electric for many years in Everett. Later on, he was part owner of a video store and then went into the music industry. He loved music, but his real passion was “The Beatles.” If you knew Tommy, “The Beatles” came to mind. His knowledge seemed limitless; you could ask him anything and he’d have an answer. He was an avid collector of Beatles memorabilia. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles, especially the most difficult ones.

Tommy had a stubborn streak, a good heart and a wonderful sense of humor. If you were in his company, you knew you were in for a few laughs.

He is survived by two sons, John McDonald from Wakefield and Keith McDonald from Peabody. Three sisters; Patricia Hallinan and her husband Stephen Hallinan from Hudson, NH. Maryrose Tarr and her husband Wayne Tarr from Wakefield, MA. Lois Nikitin and her husband Steven Nikitin from Wakefield, MA. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Tommy will surely be missed.

Tommy’s wish was to have no services. He will be buried at Forest Glade Cemetery with his loving parents. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
