Veronica Decosta

Veronica C. "Vera" DeCosta , age 86, of Wakefield died on May 27, 2022 at Artis Senior Living in Reading.

Vera was born in Perth Amboy, NJ. on August 22, 1935, and was the daughter of the late Wilfred B. and Patricia (Kelly) Graham.

Vera was raised in Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School. She later graduated Middlesex Community College. She worked as a social worker at Mass General Hospital for 20 years.

Vera was the beloved wife of Francis L. "Deke" DeCosta . She was the loving mother of Michael DeCosta of Boston, Stephen DeCosta of Fort Worth, Tx., Jeanne DeCosta of Tijeras NM, Dawn DeCosta of Wakefield, and Christopher DeCosta of Ft. Myers, FL. She was the cherished grandmother of Joseph, Daniel, Alex, Kristen, Elliot and Hazel. She was the great-grandmother of Sloane, Theodore, Morgan and Sara. She was the sister of Bernard Graham of NY and the late Patricia Guida and Lorraine Ward.

Her Funeral Service will be private. Arrangements were made in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.
