Vincent J . Salamone of Stoneham, formerly of the West End of Boston and Somerville passed away at his home on Friday May 13 at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Domenic and Assunta (Mangone) Salamone .
Vincent was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School class of 1955. He proudly served in the 101st Airborne Division of the Army. He was the owner of a specialty printing company called Federal Envelope Products of Medford for over forty years.
Vincent was the beloved husband of Lillian (Krasiewski) Salamone for 61 years. He was the loving father of Julie Salamone and her companion Dean Abruzzio of Charlestown, Domenic Salamone and his companion Dawn Rocca of Wakefield and Kim Monteiro and her husband Jamie of Wilmington. He was the brother of Annie Spinale, Marie White, Phyllis Miscioscia, Virginia Nutile, Joseph, Charles and Anthony Salamone , Linda Stroscio and the late Rita Papa. He was the proud grandfather of Nicholas, Zachary and Samantha Salamone and Dakota and Harley Monteiro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. His funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment, Lindenwood Cemetery Stoneham.
