Wadad Nakhoul

Wadad H. Nakhoul, age 90 of Wakefield, died on Tuesday March 15 at the Winchester Rehab and nursing Center.

She was born in Beirut, Lebanon on December 31, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Hannah and Heloueh Hajj.

In 1953, Wadad wed her late husband Anis. Wadad and Anis went on to have 5 children, Claudette, Zaki, Doris, Bedda, and Nabil. She and her young family immigrated to the US in 1966 and settled in Wakefield. She worked at Transitron through the 1970's to the mid 1980's. Her amazing baked sweets and Mediterranean cooking were restaurant worthy. She was a gifted knitter and seamstress, able to craft blankets, sweaters and other clothing from scratch out of rolls of yarn and fabric. She also had an aptitude for gardening and growing her own fresh vegetables and herbs. Her truest passion, though, was her family.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anis Nakhoul. She was the loving mother of Claudia Neisius and her husband John of Winter Park, FL, Zaki Nakhoul and his wife Joyce of Reading, Bedda Nakhoul and his wife Lisa of Wakefield, Nabil Nakhoul and his wife Bobbi of Wakefield, and the late Doris Tiney and her late husband Larry of Andover. She was the grandmother, or "Teta", of John, Michael, Lauren, Daniel, Lindsey, Michelle, Nicole, Katie, Samantha and Ben. She was also the great grandmother of Ian, Landon, Skylar and Madison.
